The Puranas state that Vishnu tells the sage that whenever negative energy tries to rule the earth, he will destroy them. He also says that he will take his next Avtar at the end of Kali Yuga. Many other religious texts also predict the birth of Kalki. It is also said that Kalki will come to the small village of Shambhala. He is going to protect honest and good people. Prediction also says that Kalki might be born on the 12th day after the full moon of the month Baisakh.

If we take the start date as 3102 BCE and the total duration as 432,000 years, several hundred thousand years remain before the advent of Kalki.
